What are the differences between chiropractors from the various Colleges and osteopaths?

Chiropractors tend to concentrate on the spine and nervous system in an effort to locate and correct the root cause of many health concerns. Osteopaths consider the spine; however they also look to the muscular system too.

All chiropractic colleges in the UK are accredited by the General Chiropractic Council.  This means that they all have to meet the same criteria for approval to be able for their graduates to be able to call themselves chiropractors. Individual colleges may have different emphases in their training programmes, but this is independent of the standards they must meet.

Osteopathy is a different profession, which is similar in approach to chiropractic.  The differences between the professions are mostly a matter of style, practice setting and emphasis.
